Celebrating Heritage and Nostalgia with a 1950s Marquee at Ace Hardware in Downtown Bozeman
2014
Bozeman, MT
"The 1950 Ace Hardware Marquee is where history and nostalgia meet, creating a space that honors the past while welcoming the future with open arms."
In the heart of Bozeman, MT, the 1950 Ace Hardware Marquee Project stands as a heartfelt tribute to a bygone era. Yellowstone Architects embarked on this unique journey, crafting a retro 1950s covered entry marquee that breathes new life into the downtown Ace Hardware. Starting from scratch, our design draws deep inspiration from Ace Hardware's legacy—where 'Ace' originally symbolized the prowess of WWI fighter pilots, and its logo evolved into a fighter jet representing the capital 'A' during the 1950s.
This project is more than just a renovation; it's a celebration of heritage and nostalgia, masterfully blending historical accuracy with contemporary flair. The result is a marquee that ensures the spirit of the 1950s is vividly felt by everyone who walks beneath it, honoring Ace Hardware's rich history while contributing to the vibrant character of downtown Bozeman.
